New online Product Selection Tool to simplify evaluation and choice of TSC printers

TSC Auto ID Technology Co., Ltd. (TSC), a leading innovator in the design and manufacturing of thermal barcode printer technologies, plans in the first quarter of 2013 to launch an online Product Selection Tool that will speed up and simplify the selection process for customers purchasing new TSC barcode printers.

Two versions of the new tool will be available to customers: The first aimed at customers who have previously purchased a barcode printer, and the second targeted at end users who are unfamiliar with TSC barcode printers.

Option 1:

Using the first version, customers will start the selection process by choosing the barcode printer brand and model they have owned previously. The Product Selection Tool will then automatically choose the recommended TSC model meeting similar specifications.

Option 2:


Using the second version, customers will begin by answering five questions about the capabilities they are looking for in a barcode printer. The Product Selection Tool will then identify and recommend the best TSC printer to meet those needs.

ME240 Series wins 2013 Taiwan Excellence Award

TSC’s ME240 series label printer has been chosen from among 1,221 products to receive the prestigious 2013 Taiwan Excellence Award . It once again underscores TSC’s printer growing reputation for product quality, innovation and value. The ceremony was held at the Taipei International Convention Center on April 2nd, and we were honored to attend it.

The Taiwan Excellence Award is characterized by a distinctive, proprietary logo and trademark symbolizing Taiwan’s commitment to the highest standards of product design and manufacturing. The logo has been registered in over 77 countries by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council.

The Taiwan Excellence Award competition is organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and executed by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council. It has been held annually since 1992 to help promote product innovation in Taiwan’s industries.

TSC booth at Expo ANTAD

TSC booth was at Mexico Expo ANTAD (13-15 March, 2013) which is the major show for departamental and groceries stores where supplier and customers attend, meet and doing business together.
We displayed following printers on the booth: Alpha-3R, TDP-225, TDP-244, TTP-245C, TTP-244 Plus, TTP-247, ME240 and TTP-246M PRO. We had many visitors to our booth who were interested in looking for a solution on ID. It's very good considering it is our first show in Mexico since 2009.

Moi Magazin - a Russian retail chain chooses TSC TTP-225 label printers for price markdowns

Moi Magazin (My Shop), a “close-to-home” Russian retail chain, needed a reliable label printer that could
produce up to 8,000 58x30 mm labels per day (2,000 labels per store department). After performing a market analysis and comparing various models, the company selected TSC’s TTP-225 printer. A major selling point was the printer’s superior combination of price and performance, along with TSC’s two-year limited warranty.

Dole banana farm chooses TSC TTP-247 to improve weight-measurement efficiency

Dole Corporation in Costa Rica was experiencing quality-control issues at its banana-packing facility. Because bananas vary in weight from bundle to bundle, keeping the weight of shipping crates uniform was a constant challenge. Dole needed to ensure that each packaged crate contained enough bananas by weight.

TSC industrial printers support two-color printing

The European Parliament and Council law passed in 2010 requires companies that produce and distribute chemicals and hazardous substances to label their products with information that meets CLP Regulation (EU) No1272/2008. Each label must display a hazard pictogram – a black symbol on white, framed by a red-diamond shape.

TTP-245C case study_John Deere for warehouse labeling

Using a standard-size holder, the space-saving high-performance desktop printers (TTP-245C) are fitted onto forklifts and other vehicles used at the John Deere warehouse.

Andreas Laubner, Managing Director, praised the performance of the TTP-245C and the extremely positive feedback of LTG KG and John Deere.

“So far this solution has been unique, and the cost is quickly recovered. Because of the mobility the TTP-245C provides, labels do not have to be printed in advance at the office. They can be printed directly on site.”
