After its ML-2570 model, Samsung updated its range of monochrome laser printers with the ML-2851ND series. The ND code shows Networking support and Duplex prints (back and forth). Like the previous ML series, the ML-2851ND comes in a compact laser printer format that is space-saving and lighter than a class laser printer. Although aimed at a home or small office, a 400MHz processor on this printer is relatively high compared to similar printers. No wonder the document print speed reaches 28ppm and there are a lot of font emulations available (PCL6, PostScript 3, SPL, IBM ProPrinter, and Epson). This speed also looks stable in text and graphic modes. Unfortunately, the quality of graphic / image printing still shows deficiencies, such as the appearance of thin vertical lines that overshadow the printed image. Even so, the resulting image still looks quite detailed and sharp. *** Overall, the performance of the Samsung ML-2851ND - in terms of speed and quality - deserves a glance at ordinary document printing users, especially those who are looking for a laser printer below the price of US $ 300. The only weakness we noted is the ability to print less image documents maximum.
